Digital Money Forum - London - this week

Hyperion's Digital Money Forum is on, Wednesday and Thursday. Dave Birch runs an engaging show for financial cryptographers, and well worth the 2 days if you can get to London. At £275, it doesn't break the bank.

(I guess they'll take late bookings.) The schedule is on the site, but it is in PDF.

We'll put the the presentations up on the web site some time next week as well. Sorry Ian but they'll be PDFs too :)

I'd especially direct FCers to Fred Piper's presentation on crypto and the potential impact of quantum computing, the Qinetiq presentation on quantum cryptography, Sheri Markose's work on cash replacement models and Richard Bartle's presentation on virtual worlds.

P.S. You might also want to look at the presentation by the head of postal orders at the UK Post Office, Iain Gilbert. It's got to mean something that, primarily because of the demands on eBay, sales of postal orders actually went UP in the UK last year!
